Last Call for Booking!
What Is there to do?
In addition to numerous bars and restaurants, there are two pools (one adults-only), both with swim-up bars, a beautiful beach, and even a small water park with slides and a lazy river! There will also be lots of options for excursions!
What's up with travel between the airport and resort?
See the Flight Info page!
Are you coordinating flights?
Nope! Important thing is everyone gets there. Schedules, airlines, etc are too much to force coordination on. I know there will be some organic "waves" of folks that develop - that's great.
Dave will post Chris/his flight plans soon, because I'm still confirming the following answer:
When is Dave going?
July 30 - Aug 5
When should I book?
ASAP! To keep from last-minute bookings/cancelations causing havoc with the room block - the preferred deadline is April 1. The block remains open after that, if available. Likewise, if we're exceeding the room block early on, it'll be easier to ask for additional rooms in April than ... July.
What if I want to upgrade my room?
Standard rooms are Resort View, and based on occupancy or your sweet-talking of the front desk at check-in, the room/view may be upgraded. If you're a Bonvoy Elitist, that will also alter your situation. (Dave will do his best on everyone's behalf, as well.)
If you have the same room-view anxiety Dave gets and want to absolutely lock-in the poshest of rooms, we have you covered with contracted rates there, too.
Get details on the room types. These renderings should become actual pictures once the property re-opens in March.
To upgrade to a different room type, book normally through the same link and email Hilda.Morales@marriott.com with your confirmation number and upgrade requested, and you can choose to pay for the difference on arrival or they can share a link to process the additional payment. For all reservations, if you want a specific room type (king / two beds) feel free to let her know.
Here are the upgraded nightly room rates (USD), with some division done for you. These don't include ~$5 in taxes.
Why do you keep switching between first-person and third-person tone?
Because Chris and Dave both wrote parts of this, either while Chris was watching Below Deck marathons or Dave was sleeping off Taco Bell.
Can you help me set up a roommate (or two)?
Let Dave or Chris know and we can connect you with someone else who also wants to share a room.
